Recovery is the key word that every person needs to practice but not many people follow through on. Whether you are an athlete, a weekend warriors or an every day person, your body goes through demands in your everyday life activities. Therefore, recovery is critical for you to sustain a high quality of life.
Sleep, nutrition, meditation, massage, proper hydration are all excellent forms of recovery. Flushing fluids, getting 7-8 hours a sleep a night, managing your stress and eating a well balanced diet helps your body and mind recover and prepare for the next day's activities. Busy, on the go lifestyles lead us to making bad choices about our nutrition and skip out on necessary rest.
This is why Innovative Training Solutions decided to research and invest in a supplement line that was cleaner than many of the current supplement lines. Recovery powered by ITS is third party test and sweetened with Stevia. The line of products ITS chose are the products we truly believe would be most beneficial to people without adding harm to their body.
Third party testing is a form of quality control to ensure the product(s) are safe and harmless to the public. An organization tests the product(s), independently from the primary producer, and has deemed the final product safe as it complies with standards for safety, quality, or performance. Testing usually includes "...comprehensive formulation/material reviews.." testing, and reviewing the facility the product was produced at.
Recovery powered by ITS includes the following products:
1. Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)
2. Whey Protein
3. Plant Based Protein (Pea Protein)
4. Omega-3
5. Women's Vitamin
6. Natural Super Greens
7. Collagen Gummies
8. Joint Flex Gummies
9. Deep Sleep Gummies
10 Immune Boost Gummies
11. CLA
Branched Chain Amino Acids are essential nutrients (Leucine, Valine, and Isoleucine) that the body can get from either a dietary supplement or through their dietary choices. The name "Branched Chain" comes from the chemical structure of the amino acids.
BCAAs are needed as our bodies don't produce leucine, valine, and isoleucine on our own. Therefore, we can only obtain the amino acids through diet or supplements.
The best time to consume BCAAs is before your workout. But the supplement will be extremely beneficial when taken in high amounts and for extended periods of time (more than ten days).
There is a difference between BCAAs and protein powder. BCAAs are amino acids the body is not able to produce on their own while protein powder is a supplement with just protein. They also both have different goals. BCAAs can be used as preventative care for muscle breakdown and injury but should be taken for prolonged period of time before the damaging activity occurs. Protein powder can be used to increase the amount of protein people are eating to receive more energy and increase metabolism in the colon while rebuilding muscle breakdown after workouts.
Whey protein is one of the primary proteins found in dairy and a byproduct of cheese-making. It introduces the same essential amino acids as found in BCAAs. These proteins help the body perform normal life sustaining activities.
Why do we use whey protein? It can be used to quicken muscle recovery after exercise (however results are contradicted with research and vary according to each individual). Whey protein can also help those suffering from malnutrition gain weight, aide in wound healing , and when given to infants in small amounts it can reduce their odds of contracting allergies or eczema.
The best time to consume whey protein is after training or after a competition.
Whey protein includes many essential amino acids and BCAAs and comes from whey/animals. Plant based protein comes from a different source (soy, pea, etc) and either black BCAAs or amino acids or have them in smaller quantity.
As the name states, pea protein comes from peas. It can introduce iron, arginine and BCAAs into the body. Plant based protein can be used to aid in muscle recovery and is a better protein supplement for those who are dairy free/vegan/vegetarian. The best time to consume them is directly after your exercise or competition.
Plant based protein is obviously from a plant source which makes it more inclusive for those who are vegan or vegetarian along with those who are dairy free. While it varies depending on the exact supplement you're using, plant based protein may contain smaller amounts of essential amino acids and BCAAs compared to whey protein but it varies with each product. Whey protein is derived as a by-product in the cheese-making process and is found in milk.
Super Natural Greens are used to enhance recovery, boost your immune system and increase gut health. These super greens are wild berry flavored which makes it so much more fun to drink your greens and get your veggies in!
It is best to use the Super Natural Greens supplement before or with your breakfast. For those individuals that are highly active you may choose to add an extra serving later in the day or evening to help aid in recovery.
Omegas are polyunsaturated fatty acids. There are three main Omega-3 fatty acids which include: alpha-linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These are unable to be produced by your own body so they must be consumed through supplements or dietary choices.
Omegas play a very important role in our body. They play a huge role in multiple cellular functions (signaling, membrane fluidity, and structural maintenance). DHA is heavily present in your eyes, brain and sperm cells, and are also a part of many functions within the cardiovascular system, endocrine system, immune system and lungs.
Omegas should be taken daily but the amount varies based on sex and age.
Women's vitamin is a supplement that provides additional vitamins and iron to your body that you may be missing. Women may lack certain vitamins and iron due to pregnancy, poor dietary choices, and certain illnesses. A women's vitamin prevents vitamin deficiency and iron deficiency.
Women's vitamin can be used to maintain or improve health. Many Americans, not just women, may have a poor amount of these vitamins or iron due to their dietary choices for a number of reasons. They also can help prevent certain conditions such as anemia, neural tube defects, and osteoporosis by closing the gap between the missing nutrients and what people need. Lastly, they do not increase the risk of mortality, CVD, or heart failure.
The best time to consume a multivitamin is in the morning with a glass of water.
